Iphone 4

What do you love about your Apple iPhone 4? We have been looking at the Apple iPhone 4 and its premium price-tag. The iPhone 3GS is an extremely popular phone and you wonder how Apple could improve the iPhone. For starters, Apple has finally given the iPhone 4 a camera with a specification to meet it’s rivals. The camera has more pixels and works in low light situations and an LED flash that’ll easily throw light about 6 feet. The 720p footage can also be edited on the phone itself when taking video shots. The screen is pin-sharp giving excellent colour for all images and icons. The volume switches have been adjusted with separate buttons rather than a single rocker switch. The new switches are much firmer making sure that you don’t switch off the phone to silent and it’s good news for those who found the 3GS switch too eager to slide up and down on its own.

FaceTime calling puts you in the picture with the front facing camera enabling you to look at another iPhone 4 user, so long as they are using a Wi-Fi network.

The iPhone 4 is much more aware of its positioning and movement than ever before with a three axis gyroscope joining the accelerometer and compass, to allow for six-axis motion control.

I wonder how long it will take the android market to catch up with their smartphones?

Goldsims.co.uk top 10 Mobile Phone Review

With so many phones on the market it’s difficult to work out which phones are to be featured in our top 10. The Sony Ericsson W995 is our number one choice with other phones closely following on including the Nokia 6700 Classic, the Sony Ericsson C905 Plus, the Samsung S5620 Monty, the LG Viewty Smart, the Puma phone, the Samsung Jet, the Samsung Genio slide, the HTC smart and the INQ mini 3G. All phones are simply fabulous with a very very close call behind the Sony Ericsson W995. The Sony Ericsson is a very good touchscreen phone packed with features and probably the best Walkman phone ever featuring version 4.0 software and direct access to the BBC iplayer and youtube from its vibrant 2.6 inch screen. The 8.1 mega pixel camera takes fantastic quality stills. The Nokia 6700 Classic is a great phone with classic build quality and chrome charm.

Getting a new mobile?

Before you buy a new mobile phone, consider whether you want to keep your existing number or purchase a really good memorable number that you can keep for years. Your memorable gold number will be really easy to remember and will become a part of your life. One thing that you should be aware of is the difference between ‘life numbers’ and a general sim number.  Some years ago, a set of numbers were released known as ‘life numbers’ – these were premium rate numbers that you were expected to keep forever and charged the caller a fortune to call you. Our numbers are simply Pay As You Go mobile numbers which you can transfer to any contract from most major networks. These ‘goldsims’ or gold numbers are very fashionable and popular with professional executives and housewives alike. How often do you have to search for your mobile number when giving it to someone? When you have a great memorable number, it’s really easy to remember and rolls off the tongue. Small businesses like good numbers too, as they can be remembered quickly when you read them on the back of a vehicle or in an advert. Companies have always tried to find good memorable numbers for advertising purposes when choosing fixed phone landlines, but with the mobile phone being so accessible now, the same picture is emerging. Almost everyone in the Uk has at least one mobile phone. Goldsims.co.uk have countless catchy mobile numbers for you to choose from and they are great value too. The process of buying and getting your number active, is really simple. Goldsims will provide you with a Pay As You Go sim card, in the same way a mobile phone shop would. You then have a choice to transfer your gold number to a new contract or leave it in the Pay As You Go format. It’s entirely up to you. When you buy a new mobile phone and wish to sign up to a contract, the mobile phone supplier will ask you whether you would like to transfer your existing number or be given a new number. At this point you explain you have a Pay As You Go sim card and that you wish to transfer the number onto your new contract. The mobile phone supplier/shop will ask you for a PAC code. This is a code which they need to transfer the number and can easily be obtained prior to the transfer. If Goldsims know that you wish to take a new contract at the time of purchasing the gold number, the PAC code can be given with the sim card in readiness. Although it all sounds a bit technical, we can assure you that the process is really straight-forward and goldsims will give you help and support all the way.

Go to goldsims.co.uk to find your great memorable mobile number.
